Poetic Justice, May 10, 2015

I am delighted to announce that I will be one of the featured readers at Poetic Justice this Sunday, May 10th, 3 pm to 5 pm. Also featured will be Lausanne Yamolky. She was born and raised in Baghdad, the fifth of ten children. They are Kurdish from northern Iraq. In 1993 they lived in Turkey illegally as asylum seekers, migrating to Canada in 1995. Lausanne threw away preteen poems. Her uncle (poet, musician, singer and songwriter) inspired her to share. I bet she has a story to share with us. So looking forward to this. Also if you like to write poetry there will be an Open Mic at the end. The host, the ever lovely, Franci Louan has asked for poems about mothers as it will be Mother's Day.
